Ecological + utopia is and ideal society based on principles designed to minimize the society’s negative impact on the environment. The idea that the citizens of a community work in a collaborative environment to sustain its natural resources in order to live without waste. An Ecotopian society protests against consumerism and materialism and many typical American lifestyles. This collection visualizes the fashions in which the people part of an ecotopian society live. The members of this community spend their days harvesting crops, manufacturing tools and building a sustainable yet hospitable shelters and buildings that protect against weather hardships and wildlife. The clothing would made from natural fibers with practical hardware integrated in the clothing silhouettes for versatility among the labor intensive lifestyles. Layers are essential for comfort to conform to changing weather and preforming different tasks. The asymmetrical silhouettes describe a unique type of person who is lacking the symmetry of normal societal life. The earth tones and tree bark print points to the natural surroundings of their out-worldly environment.
