TESSERACT
The idea of entering a blackhole in space and discovering new aspects of life served as the inspiration for this fall/winter athleisure collection for both men and women. A tesseract is a good example of this in visual form. A hypercube with infinitely many dimensions is called a tesseract. According to some ideas, time and space collide in a black hole, stacking the past, present, and future on top of one another. The printed patterns and utilization of contemporary space-aged silhouettes distinguish the collection I created from this idea. In the late fall and early winter climates, a balance between heavy and lightweight materials is achieved by using nylon spandex, 4-way stretch wovens, scuba knits, and reflective fabrics. Young adults who are transitioning into adulthood in a society where technology has reached its pinnacle and new ways of interacting with one another are becoming the norm are the target market for this collection. Making the idea of stepping into new spheres of existence seem fashionable pays homage to how far society has come in terms of technology.
